Join the Revolution! Using MRU in your Class

Founded by two leading economists at George Mason University, Marginal Revolution University (MRU) is not a college. It is a non-profit collection of online videos that are designed to bring out each person’s inner economist. MRU believes that economics has the power to change the way that people see the world and they want to help that happen. Their videos are free, incredibly high quality and available for download.
In a 4 hour workshop, teachers will learn why MRU videos are a good tool for learners, when to use them and how to use them.
Teachers will learn learn:
1. how our students' brains work
2. why videos can be an effective way to learn
3. when to use videos and
4. what free tools exist to assess and log learning from video.
Teachers will leave with a whole host of free resources, from great engaging videos and video-infused lesson plans. And if time permits and the crowd is nerdy enough, we'll even sew a supply and demand curve. Yes, really.
